Upon arrival at Skydive Empuriabrava, skydivers must present the following documentation:<\/p>

– Sports title
– Medical and civil liability insurance
– Parachute inspection card and reserve folding card
– Mandatory AAD with up-to-date maintenance
– Jump book<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

– All jumpers must have an automatic reserve parachute opening system (AAD) connected (with batteries and inspections in order). FXC 12000 type AADs or similar are not accepted. <\/p>

– Depending on individual experience (number of jumps) and weather and wind conditions, the jumping area may restrict launches to some jumpers or to all.<\/p>

– Drift jumps must be done under the supervision of an instructor.<\/p>

– Openings above 4,000 feet are not permitted without prior consent from Ground Control.<\/p>

– All equipment planned to be used at Skydive Empuriabrava, including camera helmets and skysurf boards, must be shown at the time of registration for verification.<\/p>

Skydive Empuriabrava is a member of the United States Parachute Association and, as such, adheres to the Basic Safety Requirements (BRS) published by this organization. The only requirement from which the Safety and Training Advisor of Skydive Empuriabrava exempts is BSR 2-1.3.1 (“the jumper must be equipped with an individual flotation system if the intended point of departure, opening or landing is less than one mile from a body of open water […]”). <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

TEAM SAFETY <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

– For the FF it is mandatory to use a parachute with a “hand deploy BOC” opening system (pilot extractor at the bottom of the container) or “pull out” system.<\/p>

– The band covers must be well adjusted (FF).<\/p>

– The pilot’s extractor pocket must be in excellent condition for FF and in good condition for level flight.<\/p>

– For FF jumps we recommend a tight harness that does not move.<\/p>

– The Velcro fasteners must be in good condition.<\/p>

– The flange of the extractor pilot must be well protected.<\/p>

– The closure loops must be tight and in good condition.<\/p>

– Canopy and size appropriate to the jumper’s experience.<\/p>


Auxiliary equipment<\/p>

– It is mandatory to carry a visual altimeter.<\/p>

– For FF jumps it is also mandatory to carry a sound altimeter. It is recommended to carry a second sound altimeter. <\/p>

– The helmet is mandatory for the FF.<\/p>

– The minimum experience required for camera jumps is 200 jumps.<\/p>

– We recommend a quick release system for filming helmets.<\/p>

– You cannot jump with a helmet with a camera mount without the camera installed.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

BOARDING SECURITY <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

– Remember the color and number of your flight, listen to the announcements and board the plane that corresponds to you. Think about how many identical planes can fly simultaneously. <\/p>

– Go to the boarding point when the boarding announcement is made (if you miss the plane, you lose your ticket).<\/p>

– Waiting to board the plane takes place in the appropriate boarding area.<\/p>

– Small groups are the first to board, and large groups are the last. In special wind conditions, the DZ (jump zone) may modify this order. <\/p>

– You must be fully equipped before boarding the plane. Ask another skydiver to check your equipment and remember to always approach the plane from behind. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

– The pass and the starting point are given by the pilot. Check the lights before jumping. <\/p>

– In normal wind conditions, the appropriate separation between groups is at least 5 seconds.<\/p>

– Wingsuit jumpers always leave last and must fly in the direction indicated by Ground Control.<\/p>

– Skysurfers jump at the end (or just before those wearing wingsuits or the students) and under no circumstances can they jump over the town.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Freefly<\/strong><\/p>

– Skydivers who want to jump in freefly groups must be in possession of CBT (Compulsory Basic Training). FF1 and FF2 (BPA) and B4 (FFP) licenses are accepted as equivalent. <\/p>

– To obtain the CBT, you must request a free copy of the guide A guide to freefly from the office and contact Babylon.<\/p>

– Those who do not have the CBT can only do FF jumps alone or with a FF instructor.<\/p>

– If you are a freeflyer with little experience or are doing practice, you must always work at 90\u00b0 with respect to the landing strip.<\/p>


Flat fall<\/strong><\/p>

– To jump in groups you must be in possession of Title A (FAE), A License (USPA), FS1 (BPA), B2 (FFP) or equivalent.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

SECURITY SEPARATION AND OPENING <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t

– The separation altitude in FF is 5,000 feet for groups of 2 jumpers and 5,500 feet for larger groups.

– The minimum separation altitude for jumpers in flat fall is 3,500 feet.

– If possible, you should always deviate at 90\u00b0 with respect to the runway to avoid collisions with the groups ahead or behind of the same aircraft.

– The minimum opening altitude is 2,500 feet.

– Fly your parachute parallel to the beach until the next group has opened. Don’t fly north until you see the next group’s parachutes open! <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

SAFETY FLIGHT WITH BELL AND LANDING <\/div><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t<\/span>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/summary>\n\t\t\t\t

– Descent must be made to the east of the runway. Spiral turns are not allowed over the landing zone. <\/p>

– Do not cross the runway flying with the parachute below 1,000 feet.<\/p>

– Do not fly or land in the runway extension area (aircraft approach area).<\/p>

– With a southerly wind, traffic must be on the left.<\/p>

– With a north wind, traffic must be on the right.<\/p>

– In calm or light changing winds, you must land in the direction indicated by the “T”. The lowest canopy has the right of way. <\/p>

– Do not endanger your own safety or that of others by making low turns.<\/p>


Rules for crossing the track<\/strong><\/p>

– The track can ONLY be crossed by the white lines located in front of the terrace.<\/p>

– Make sure there is no plane on the runway ready to take off and that there is no plane on final approach to land.<\/p>

– Separate yourself from the track. Stay at least 10 m away from the track until you are ready to cross it. <\/p>

– Check that there are no planes taxiing on the grass in front of the hangar or terrace and that there are no tandems about to land.<\/p>


Landings outside the zone<\/strong><\/p>

– Whenever possible, try to land in the same field as other teammates. This will facilitate rescue and necessary help in the event that you have made a bad landing. <\/p>

– Head to the nearest road or path and wait for the center staff to pick you up. Notify the DZ of your return. <\/p>


Rental equipment<\/strong><\/p>

– The only ones authorized to fold them are the DZ’s folders.<\/p>

– If you use rental equipment, it is mandatory that it be checked by a DZ instructor before boarding.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
